We were commissioned by the planetarium director at the Montreal Rio Tinto Alcan Planetarium to capture high resolution 10K 360-video of thousands of people watching the total solar eclipse in the United States on August 21, 2017.
The footage will end up in a planetarium science show about eclipses to educate the public before the next major eclipse that will be viewable near Montreal in 2024.
To ensure that we captured two different stories, Ryan went to the state capitol in Salem, Oregon and Sam shot 360 in Lake Cascade, Idaho.
